Rural Marketing Seminar to discuss issues on rural marketing Our Bureau
Chennai , July 15 THE Rural Network, an alliance of four rural marketing agencies, is organising a seminar on `The Challenges of Rural Marketing in the 21st Century' on August 6 in Bangalore. The seminar, says a press release, will examine if rural initiatives of companies are adequate; it will also focus on the changing profile of the rural consumer, the role of mass media and technology. In addition, there will be specific case studies covering the FMCG, durables and the automobiles sectors, as well as a panel discussion on rural marketing issues. The speakers for the seminar include Mr Pradeep Kashyap of MART; Mr N. D. Badrinath, TNS India; Mr J. Ravindra Kumar, ITC; Ms Rama Bijapurkar of Strategic Marketing Consulting; Mr Karthik Raina, Dalmia Consumer Care; Mr K. G. George of TTK Prestige; Mr Harish Bijoor, Harish Bijoor Consults; Mr R. V. Rajan of Anugrah Madison; Mr Pradeep Lokhande; Rural Relations and Mr R. A. Patankar, Sampark. The seminar is supported by Deccan Herald while Business Line is the media partner. The Rural Network is an alliance of Anugrah Madison, MART, Rural Relations and Sampark.
