PeopleSoft unveils solution for monitoring inventory

Our Bureau

Chennai , July 15

THE US-based PeopleSoft Inc has announced the launch of PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne Asset Lifecycle Management 8.10 (ALM) in India, a solution to help companies monitor their inventory and improve their asset utilisation.

Using the solution, companies can plan their supply chain while understanding the market demand, Mr Eric S. Thurston, Global Industry Director, Asset Intensive Industries, PeopleSoft Inc, told Business Line.

PeopleSoft ALM integrates asset and financial management, which means that companies can manage their assets to maximum effect.

For example, companies have silos of information in different departments and lack co-ordination between marketing and manufacturing departments, which could build up inventory.

The PeopleSoft solution helps firms retrieve data from various departments to forecast the market demand and manufacture products accordingly, he said.
