Supply Chain Management DHL to launch Festival Express Tunia Cherian George
Mumbai , July 16 CLOSE on the heels of the success of the Mango Express, launched in the summer, DHL Express is set to launch another retail product, Festival Express, next month. According to the Head, Marketing, Mr Ramesh Natarajan, the company plans to launch special products for Rakhi and Deepavali under the project. The scope of the product was currently being studied, he said. The company hopes to target the large number of families who have friends and relatives abroad while selling the product. The product, he said, was targeted at the company's sizeable retail clientele, which it would like to grow. He added that the Mango Express, launched in the summer, was a huge success. Besides a number of corporates, even individuals took advantage of the offer. According to him, the company's aim was to become a one-stop-shop for all the logistics needs of their clientele. Towards this end, the four group companies, namely, DHL Express, DHL Air and Ocean, DHL Solutions and DHL Freight, would be integrated over a period of time. This process, he said, had already begun abroad. He added that the company was looking at setting up express gateways at Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore airports, similar to the facility it has set up at Delhi.
