Strategy Trigger to go in for capacity expansion G. Gurumurthy
Coimbatore , July 16 TRIGGER 1932 Jeans Inc, the apparel brand from the house of KG Denim, is on an expansion mode. Trigger 1932 Jeans has etched a plan for capacity expansion and the brand will bring in an investment of Rs 2 crore to update its sewing and washing unit. The capacity expansion will enable the brand to increase its garment production capacity from the existing 75,000 pieces to over a lakh pieces per month and upgrading its fabric washing and treatment processes, besides increasing its captive vendor capacity from 30,000 pieces to 50,000 pieces a month, according to Mr Rajha Gopallan, Chief, Fashion Management, Trigger 1932 Jeans Inc. The expansion will help Trigger in foraying into new markets and at the same time strengthening its current market-hold, Mr Gopallan said in a press release. The brand already implementing an ERP system has also chalked up plans to get into kids, women's western wear and smart casuals in the men's section this year. Among the new range of products lined up for the launch this year include nine more collections and towards realizing this, Trigger has set up an in-house trend management group that will help it to put together its new launches/collections. According to the release, Trigger will also set up an international trend studio in Bangalore, which will bring into confluence both Indian and international designers under one roof. The studio will also house the global office of KG Denim Ltd to cater to both domestic and international buyers.
