Vasanthan joins National Bank of Oman as CEO

Chennai , July 18

DR B. Vasanthan, former Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank, has joined the National Bank of Oman, as its Chief Executive Officer.

Dr Vasanthan started his career in 1965 with Syndicate Bank.

During this period, he also led the UK operations of the bank for four years and continued to serve the bank until 1998 as General Manager.

After spending 33 years with Syndicate Bank, he moved on to join Andhra Bank, as Executive Director.

He was subsequently promoted as Chairman and Managing Director in 2000.

Dr Vasanthan retired from service last year.
