Environmental education

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) to inform the implementation of orders for the inclusion of environment as a subject.

Even as it is showing concern for the Environment, the Supreme Court should also look into the way educational institutions function without proper safety precautions. The classrooms are overcrowded and the children are made to study in unhygienic conditions.
