Bio-informatics course

CHENNAI: Marshals' Technology Ltd has launched a `Post-Graduate Diploma in Bio-Informatics' (PGDIB) in association with the Central Leather Research Institute.

The programme is targeted at students with a bioscience background wishing to acquire bio-computing skills, and those with a background in computing wanting to gain molecular biology expertise, says a company release.

The PG programme will offer students wet lab training, guest lectures from industry experts, training on using bio-informatics tools (genomics and proteomics), research projects, short-term training on molecular biology experiments, industrial visits and live projects for students.

In addition, customised bridge programmes will be offered for life science and computer graduates.
