TELECOMM India expo from Oct 25

THE sixth edition of TELECOMM India 2004, the international exhibition and conference on telecom and IT sectors, is all set to unroll from October 25 at Mumbai.

Two hundred companies from across the world are expected to showcase their expertise, products and services.

Organised by India-Tech Foundation, the three-day exposition is also being proposed as a "Destination India event". The principal theme will be `India's telecom and IT sectors — poised for take-off', with some of the topics for discussion being rural telecommunications, Internet & network security, broadband services & convergence, regulatory issues, telecom software and BPO.

" Participants from China, USA, Taiwan, Germany, Russia, Singapore and UK will make presentations at the conference," according to Mr Indra Mohan, President of India-Tech Foundation.
