Shasun post-tax net rises to Rs 3.92 cr

SHASUN Chemicals & Drugs registered a post-tax profit of Rs 3.92 crore (Rs 3.10 crore) in the first quarter of 2004-05, higher by 26.45 per cent in relation to the corresponding period's profit last year.

The company's income from operations increased by 15.33 per cent over the previous year to register Rs 68.36 crore (Rs 59.27 crore). Shasun's expenditure on raw materials for the period was Rs 40.29 crore (Rs 28.12 crore), up by 43.27 per cent.

Among Shasun's other items of expenditure in the quarter, interest dropped by 64.70 per cent to register Rs 66 lakh (Rs 1.87 crore).
