`New civil aviation policy by Aug-end'

New Delhi , July 20

THE Government will finalise the new national civil aviation policy towards the end of next month, the Secretary, Civil Aviation, Mr Ajay Prasad, said here on Monday night.

According to a statement issued by the Assocham, Mr Prasad said that the Ministry was expecting to receive the second part of the Naresh Chandra Committee report by the end of next week which would help the Government form and draft a major portion of the new aviation policy. Mr Prasad was speaking at a function organised by the Assocham to bid farewell to the former Civil Aviation Secretary, Mr K. Roy Paul.
