New Donor Station from Terumo Penpol

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Surgicals major Terumo Penpol has announced the launch of an improved version of its product, Donor Station DC 200.

According to a company spokesperson, the Composafe Donor Station has been modified to reduce adverse reactions associated with blood donation. It increases comfort and safety to the donor and the phlebotomist and also ensures that the blood donation experience is pleasant, he said.

The product conforms to ISO 9001 and World Health Organisation specifications, among others. "The donor couch will go a long way in providing donor comfort and the aesthetic appearance will provide the blood banks with a modern appearance," the spokesperson said.

Terumo Penpol has sold more than 42 million blood bags in the country and abroad and has installed over 2,000 blood bank equipment.
