KOCHI: The tender for the construction of the first phase of an over bridge at Edappally on the NH-17 and approach roads will be issued soon. A decision on thiswas taken by the Union Ministry of Surface Transport.

The Rs 13-crore project includes the construction of a 1,775-metre over bridge and approach road, excluding the 45-metre bridge that is directly above the railway lines. Construction of the portion of the bridge above the railway line will be executed by the Railways.
