Star Plus brings in Nikki to boost TRP

Our Bureau

Mumbai , July 21

JASSI now meets her match in Nikki. If Sony Entertainment Television's answer to drive up TRP was Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin Hai, Star Plus may have found a match in Dekho Magar Pyar Se.

If Jassi is a middle-class girl, with a fringe on her forehead and wearing thick spectacles, Nikita Sarin or Nikki of Dekho Magar Pyar Se is fat.

But Star Plus insists that the daily soap has nothing similar to Jassi Jaisi.

Dekho Magar Pyar Se, which is aired at 8 p.m., will help Star Plus expand its prime-time zone. Currently, Star Plus's prime time commences at 8.30 p.m.

Star Plus expects this show, which has three sponsors, to drive TRP.

"Unlike Jassi, Nikki will go through a transformation, there is no secrecy about it," said Mr Ajay Vidyasagar, Senior Vice- President, Marketing & Communication.
