Geometric Soft Q1 net up at Rs 3.4 cr

GEOMETRIC Software Solutions Company Ltd has granted 5,000 options to eligible non-executive directors of the company under ESOP Directors-2000 Scheme.

As many as 1,00, 224 options have been granted to eligible employees of the company and its subsidiaries under the ESOP Scheme 2003, according to a company notification to the BSE.

For the first quarter ended June 30, 2004, Geometric has posted a net profit of Rs 3.4 crore compared with Rs 2.8 crore recorded during the quarter ended June 30, 2003. Total income has increased to Rs 22.5 crore (Rs 15.7 crore) .

"We have undertaken a series of new product initiatives which we believe will add strength to our portfolio," Mr Manu Parpia, Managing Director, was quoted as saying in a press release.

On a consolidated basis, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 5.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 compared with Rs 4.1 crore in the previous year period.

The total income increased to Rs.36.9 crore (Rs 24 crore).
