Mumbai , July 22

TITAN Industries on Thursday launched the Flip collection - a dual-faced watch that incorporates two watch movements embedded in a single case.

This dual-faced watch allows wearers to switch between international time zones and alternative lifestyles formal or casual with a mere flip of dial, the company release stated.

Mr Bijou Kurien, Chief Operating Officer, Titan Watches pointed out that the Flip collection targeted at the urban Indian male would also be exported to 29 countries on back of encouraging response from its earlier Titan Edge collection.

The collection is made of an ultra-light material such as titanium.

It also includes models with an automatic generating system (AGS) feature, which provides the customer the added benefit of using the watch without concerns of depleting the power source.

The brand-building exercise will revolve around `one brand, two faces' positioning and will be supported by a multimedia campaign across niche electronic media. Film actor Akshaye Khanna endorses the collection.

The company has allocated around Rs 1.5 crore for its advertising initiatives.

Priced between Rs 5,495 and Rs 6,000, this collection will be available in two cases and six variants across Titan showrooms and also in a few select retail outlets in select cities.

The AGS watches are available in two cases and five variants priced between Rs 7,995 and Rs 8, 500. The company will continue to launch a watch every quarter as part of its marketing initiatives, Mr Kurien said.
