Kisan Sabha holds march in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State unit of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) held marches to the Secretariat here as also the Government offices in Assembly constituencies across the State on Saturday to press its various demands.

An AIKS spokesman said here that these demands related to solving the crisis in the farm sector, waiver of farm loans not exceeding Rs 1 lakh and payment of ex gratia to next of kin of farmers who had committed suicide due to financial difficulties. The AIKS activists staged a sit-in in front of the Secretariat.
