Indian Airlines carries flood relief materials free-of-cost to victims

INDIAN Airlines (IA) is doing its bit to providing relief to the flood-affected victims in different parts of the country.

The airline hadcarried more than 15,000 tonnes of relief material, including medicines, free-of-cost in July. It transported more than 700 kg of medicines free-of-cost between Hyderabad and Patna on July 14. The airline carried another consignment of 5,000 kg of medicines on the Delhi-Guwahati sector four days later.

On July 18, IA transported 350 kg of medicines from Hyderabad to Guwahati free-of-charge.

Sources said the relief material was ferried free-of-cost by the airline following requests from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Industrial Security Force.
