Artisan credit cards in AP

HYDERABAD: The State-level Bankers Committee of Andhra Pradesh had agreed for issue of 30,000 artisan credit cards to weavers in the State. The banks would provide a total of Rs 75 crore to the credit card holders at the minimum-lending limit.

The weavers who were dependent on weaving profession and possessing identity cards issued by the State Handloom Textiles Department would be eligible to get a minimum credit facility up to Rs 25,000. Self help groups of weavers would be eligible for a credit facility up to Rs 2 lakh, according to an official press release.
