Air-conditioners & Refrigerators Blue Star Q1 net rises 36 pc at Rs 3.6 cr Our Bureau
Mumbai , July 26 BLUE Star has reported a 36 per cent increase in its net profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal to touch Rs 3.61 crore. The company's total income during the quarter was Rs 178.60 crore, representing a 25 per cent increase over that of the corresponding period of last fiscal. The company was able to bag a string of orders during the quarter, including those from Microsoft, Hyderabad, Airport Authority of India, HCL Technologies, Delhi Metro Railway Corporation, Hutch Essar Telecom and Satyam Computers. According to Mr Ashok M. Advani, Chairman and Chief Executive of the company, "The macro-economic conditions are favourable with increased investments in infrastructure projects and substantial growth in the services sector. In fact, the central air-conditioning business of the company for the quarter recorded a 56 per cent growth over the previous year. I am optimistic about the outlook of the company in the coming years."
