Aptech Q1 net at Rs 5 cr as biz looks up

APTECH Ltd recorded a net profit of Rs 5 crore with global billings of Rs 128 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2004.

Its revenues showed a growth of 23.7 per cent - a year-on-year increase from Rs 22.76 crore to Rs 28.15 crore. Both the retail and the institutional businesses have shown a marked improvement over the previous months.

The Managing Director of Aptech, Mr Pramod Khera, in a statement said, "the last quarter was marked by impressive gains for Aptech largely as a result of efforts at re-building confidence in IT careers. The international revenues surged with countries like Turkey, Nigeria, Vietnam, Fiji and Yemen showing growth apart from China. Meanwhile Aptech University, which could form the bedrock of our business edifice, is going operational this academic season."
