Our Bureau

Pune , July 26

WHAT does the US Defence Department, Samsung and Motorola have in common? They source their software from Pune-based eQ Technologic (India) Pvt Ltd for data assimilation, data mining and deriving results.

eQ Technologic, founded about a decade ago, has bagged its first client in the aerospace segment - US-based Lockheed Martin - for business engineering and analysing data over the Web for building the next generation F-35 aircraft. This will be used by the US army, navy and marines.

The company is also holding talks with NASA for the Mars mission, said Mr Dinesh Khaladkar, Chief Executive Officer, eQ Technologic.

The company has developed software, eQube, which will help Lockheed leverage their investments in team centre implementation, he said.

He said eQube was deployed at Lockheed within eight weeks. It took five weeks for the engineers to set it up at the Samsung digital consumer electronics division in the US.

The next client is Motorola. Work will begin in three weeks, and it would be connecting data in the supply chain management and team centre data, Mr Dinesh said.

Mr Dinesh also said eQ would invest close to Rs 3 crore in a couple of years to enhance eQube as a standalone product and also build products with eQube as the base platform. These products will be in the areas of performance metrics and dashboards.
