P&G cuts prices of Rejoice shampoo

Our Bureau

Mumbai , July 27

PROCTER & Gamble (P&G) has reduced the price of its Rejoice shampoo to Rs 30 from Rs 39 for a 100 ml bottle and to Rs 59 from Rs 75 for a 200 ml bottle. The price of the 7.5 ml Rejoice sachets remains unchanged at Rs 2 each.

Commenting on the new pricing, Mr Chester Twigg, Director (Marketing & Sales), P&G India, said: "The new prices are in keeping with our policy to offer our world-class brands to Indian consumers at a competitive price. We have no plans to further reduce prices on Rejoice, Pantene and Head & Shoulders shampoo brands."

Given the diversity of Indian consumers and their varied hair needs, P&G launched Rejoice in three variants - Rich, Complete, and Silky Clean.

It was launched in India in January this year and was launched and endorsed by the All India Beauticians' & Hairdressers' Association (AIBHA).

Rejoice has a presence in 85 countries and on an average, 1,000 bottles are purchased per minute across the globe. In 2002-03, it notched global sales of $500 million.
