Allianz Cornhill to set up BPO unit at Technopark

ALLIANZ Cornhill Information Services, the Indian subsidiary of the UK-based Allianz Cornhill Insurance Plc, will set up a business process outsourcing (BPO) facility at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. This will be in addition to the company's existing software development facility at Technopark.

The company, which already employs over one hundred people at its software development facility in Thiruvananthapuram, will add another 300 employees by the end of 2005, said Mr John Knowles, Director, Allianz Cornhill , in a press release issued by Technopark.

The company's software development facility at Technopark is its first and only offshore development centre and was started over a year ago.

Mr P.K. Kunhalikutty, Minister of IT and Industries, welcomed the company's decision to set up the BPO unit here.
