"Sanction letters have been issued on the spot to 29 entrepreneurs, giving financial assistance to the tune of Rs 11.81 crore," an SFC spokesman said. The meet on Monday was the first in the series of seminars planned by the corporation to help first generation entrepreneurs set up ventures throughout the State.

The meet covered Rangareddy, Adilabad, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Medak. Representatives from various stakeholders like Pollution Control Board and SISI (Small Industries Service Institute) were also present.

During the seminar, the corporation received 326 enquiries, seeking a total financial assistance of Rs 159 crore. The corporation invited `parisramika vijethas' (successful entrepreneurs) to the meet to share their experiences with the fledgling entrepreneurs.
