Land for AAI

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The advisory committee for the development of the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, which met here, has decided to hand over around 11 hectares to the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

The meeting was chaired by the Cooperation Minister, Mr M.V. Raghavan, who urged the Government to expedite the transfer of land. The committee resolved to submit a memorandum to the Union Civil Aviation Minister to press its demands. The committee will also initiate moves to acquire 48 hectares for the future development of the airport.
