Chennai , July 28

1pointsize, the two-year old creative hotshop from Chennai, has picked up three nominations at the 2004 New York Festivals for Design, Outdoor and Print Advertising.

Competing with nearly 7,000 entries from 62 countries, 1pointsize, headed by photographer Sharad Haksar, bagged three finalist slots in two categories, said a press release.

One nomination was in the Apparel-Print category and two in the Public Service-Print category. The first nomination was for the brand Stori's Gulf War ad titled `God, Dog'.

The two public service nominations were for Jeevan Blood Bank's `Formula of Life' ad and Mahesh Memorial Trust's `Cancer' ad.

Last year, 1pointsize got one nomination. The awards will be announced in two weeks. Earlier this March, 1pointsize won five golds, five silvers and two bronzes at Spark 2004, AdClub Madras' advertising awards show.
