AAI board gives nod for work at Delhi, Mumbai

THE board of Airports Authority of India (AAI), which met here on Wednesday, is understood to have given its `in-principle' approval for work to be carried out at the Delhi and Mumbai airports even as the proposed restructuring and modernisation programme gets under way.

While the AAI officials refused to say anything about the board deliberations, claiming that they would be able to speak only after the minutes were finalised, sources saidthe proposal for which the in-principle approval has been given are multicrore projects at each airport.
