New Delhi , July 29

IN a bid to attract foreign investments to Bulgaria, Mr Boyko Boev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forests of the Republic of Bulgaria, said that his Government would provide institutional support for major foreign investment projects.

Speaking at an interactive meeting organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) here, he said political consensus around the national priorities, especially attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI), and the EU and NATO membership were other reasons for the country to be investment friendly.

In his welcome address, Mr N.M. Kejriwal, Chairman, Indo-Bulgaria Joint Business Council, highlighted the thrust areas where joint ventures could be helpful to India including software, food processing, leather products, drugs, pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals.
