CWC appointed consultant for NTPC projects

NTPC ha appointed the Central Water Commission (CWC) as its consultant for designing and engineering of two hydro power projects in Uttaranchal.

An MoU to this effect was signed between the two companies here, an NTPC release said.

As per the pact, the CWC would provide technical services for design and engineering of civil works of water conductor system, barrage, gates and hydro mechanical equipment for the 600 MW Loharinag Pala and 520 MW Tapovan Vishnugad projects.

The MoU for Loharinag project would be in force for 72 months while for the Tapovan project it would be applicable for 92 months, the release added.
