Aryabhatta award

HYDERABAD: Well-known scientist and former Director, National Remote Sensing Agency, Hyderabad, Prof. B.L. Deekshatulu, has been awarded the prestigious Aryabhatta Award-2002 by the Astronautical Society of India.

The award recognises the contributions and effort to promote Astronautics in India by Dr Deekshatulu. Previous winners include Prof. Satish Dhawan, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Prof. U.R. Rao.
