Commodity Exchanges Seminar on commodities in Hyderabad Our Bureau
Mr Vepa Kamesam, former Deputy Governor of the RBI, who launched the programme, felt that the time had come for introducing option trading in Indian commodity markets. ASCI Principal, Dr Siripurapu K. Rao, said that the programme was a part of the college's ongoing effort at building knowledge and skill base in Indian agriculture. Mr C.K.G. Nair, Director, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, outlined the growth potential for commodities trading in India. Mr D.S. Komalkar, Director of Forward Markets Commission, highlighted the commission's development and regulatory role in strengthening the functioning of commodity markets.
