Bangalore school gets `global' status with new educational software

Our Bureau

Bangalore , July 30

THE Bangalore-based Bishop Cotton Boys' School became a future-ready educational institution, with the implementation of Lyceum, a connected Learning Solution, whose scope includes Educational ERP, a global Connected Learning Community and e-governance. The school would now operate on global-standard infrastructure.

Lyceum software was developed by Pac Soft Solutions Ltd, Microsoft's partner in India for development of educational software.

Implementation of Lyceum will help Bishop Cotton Boys' School in three significant ways. It would help in enhancing the sources and scope of learning for students and educating for teachers, create an open effective system for parent-teacher-student interaction and optimise the school's administrative procedures through a tailor-made ERP solution.

With features such as the Connected Learning Community (which enables students & teachers across the world to interact and share knowledge with other students and teachers seamlessly and helps parents stay in touch with their kid's progress), Education ERP (which allows an educator to focus on teaching by automating all mission-critical administrative tasks) and e-Governance (which helps managements stay in real-time touch with developments in all educational institutions under its control), Lyceum would help Bishop Cotton enhance its high levels of educational excellence, said Dr Ebenezer, Principal, Bishop Cotton Boys' School.

Mr Ali Sait, Director, Pac Soft Solutions Ltd, said Lyceum has been designed to usher in the future of education and it is very gratifying to see early adopters of the infrastructure take to it with such great ease.
