PCQuest addresses IT concerns of SMEs

SMEQUEST 2004, an event hosted by PCQuest, provided participants from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) an opportunity to interact with security, network management and Internet and intranet experts. The focus was on the strategic use of IT to expand their businesses into new markets, improve quality and maximize profits.

SMEQuest 2004 is a series of seminars conceptualized by PC Quest that will cover six Indian cities. Starting with Hyderabad, it will go to Coimbatore, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune and Chandigarh. Experts from IBM, McAfee Security, Cisco and PCQuest Labs Analyst addressed the event.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), there are 21 lakh SMEs in the country.

The proportion of their IT investments and the availability of quality IT advice they face are different from those of large organisations.
