IN a bid to inject new life into the ailing Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers has decided to set up a technical committee to study the prospects of revival of the company.

This was decided after a meeting between the Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers and Steel, Mr Ram Vilas Paswan, and the Members of Parliament, Mr Gurudas Dasgupta and Mr Harish Rawat, and some others.

The committee will submit its report by October 31, 2004. IDPL is currently under the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction.
