MBA students' meet on CMP

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MBA students of the Institute of Management in Kerala (Extension Centre, Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM) Campus, Poojappura) is organising a national seminar on Thursday "Reconciliation of Common Minimum Programme with globalisation" on Thursday at the Cobank Towers here.

The ICM is one of the 19 institutes funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and administered by the National Council for Cooperative Training, New Delhi. According to the organiser, the seminar would be purely academic in nature and conducted with the objective of finding out how far the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is in tune with the larger globalisation initiative.

Vice-Chancellor, the University of Kerala, Dr S. Kevin will inaugurate the seminar. Among those who are participating will be Mr George John, General Manager (Credit), Federal Bank, and Mr B. S. Shekhawat, Chief General Manager, Nabard, Thiruvananthapuram. Mr V. Ramachandran, Vice-Chairman, Kerala State Planning Board, will be the guest of honour at the valedictory function.
