Bangalore , Aug 4

CABLE and Wireless announced on Wednesday the launch of its multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) service in India as an extension of its managed data services portfolio in association with Reliance Infocomm.

MPLS is the latest protocol and provides means for data convergence.

Corporates will be able to use Reliance Infocomm's nationwide network to connect to C&W global network, said Mr Phil Green, CEO for Asia and Japan.

C&W launched its managed data network in India earlier this year and is now providing data services such as ATM, frame relay and managed private line to various customers.
