Tapan Ray quits as Kopran MD

MUMBAI: The Managing Director of Kopran Ltd, Mr Tapan Ray, has resigned from the company. The board of directors has recorded and accepted the resignation with effect from October 31, 2004, the company told the BSE on Thursday.

Company officials told Business Line that Mr Ray had been with the drug company for a little more than a year and he had resigned to pursue his personal plans. Mr Surendra Somani, Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will oversee the operations of the company, the official said.
