Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The 10th Annual International Continuing Medical Education Programme HIV Update, presented by the International Centre for Health HIV/AIDS (ICHHA), will begin on Saturday.

Sponsored by the Rush University Medical Centre, US, a team of specialist doctors from the US will impart training during the two-day programme.

ICHHA, the HIV division of Share India Mediciti Immunology & Infectious Diseases Research Institute (MiiDRi), Mediciti Hospitals is organising the programme.

With HIV infection rates going up and awareness levels, especially in rural areas, being low, there is an urgent need to sensitise both the medical fraternity and the people on the deadly implications of the disease, which is taking epidemic form, said Dr Vijay V.
