Private Banks `Regional bank heads must ensure aggressive marketing of products' Our Bureau
Mangalore , Aug. 6 THE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Karnataka Bank Ltd, Mr Ananthakrishna, has appealed to the regional heads of the bank to ensure aggressive marketing of its wide range of products to make them attractive for users and lucrative for the bank. He was speaking at the regional review conference of the bank for the quarter ended June, in Mangalore on Friday. Advising them to play their part effectively and foster the growth of the bank, Mr Ananthakrishna said regional offices were a vital link between the head office and the branches. These offices should guide the branches under their jurisdiction with greater competence so that the branches can contribute more for the growth of the bank in terms of performance and publicity. Stating that the strength of an organisation was reflected in its sustained profits, Mr Ananthakrishna said mere growth without strength would not suffice. Growth with stability and strength is the need of the hour to survive in this competitive environment, he said. Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, General Manager, underlined the need for a periodic review of performance and corrective action wherever warranted for achieving the bank's objectives. The General Managers, Mr N.S. Chakkera and Mr Jayagopal Yekkar, were the others who spoke. Mr K.H. Shivaswamy Aithal, Deputy General Manager, Planning and Development, proposed the vote of thanks.
