Liver transplant for Pakistani girl child

HYDERABAD: A team led by Dr Mohamed Rela, a liver transplant expert from London's King's College, has successfully conducted liver transplantation on the five-year-old Pakistan girl.

The girl, Batul Hasan, got a chunk of liver from her father, replacing the diseased liver. The six-hour-long surgery had been done free of cost, a Global Hospitals release said.
