Letters Rising inflation
This is with reference to the editorial "Inflation pressures" (Business Line, August 9). The editorial rightly points out that official numbers often mask the severity of the inflation problem due to non-inclusion of the services sector in the measurement of price changes and the emphasis on prices at the farm/factory. The only way out for the Centre from this problem is to reduce spending. This will make the Government less dependent on the market for funds. K. V. Kishore Chennai
