New Delhi, Aug. 9 Dhrov India Ltd, a subsidiary of the Rs 200-crore Shiv-Vani group with interests in oil exploration and textiles, has launched a chain of dry cleaning and laundry stores under brand name `White Tiger' which offers dry cleaning and other associated services. Dhrov India has opened company owned outlets where clothes are collected and then taken to its Noida plant for laundering. The company says it has invested Rs 15 crore in setting up the cleaning plant with capacity to process 25,000 clothes per day. "We began operations in 2002 by setting up a fully integrated laundry plant at Noida. The company now plans to scale up operations with up to Rs 70 crore investment over the next three years for establishing collection points across 10-12 cities in the North," the company's Vice-President (Corporate), Mr Rajeev Sekhri, told Business Line. For future expansion, a franchisee model would be adopted for setting up collection centres. By the end of three years, the company expects to establish 100 such collection centres. Mr Sekhri said after consolidating its presence, the company would establish more cleaning plants. "Many times people hesitate to giveexpensive, memorable clothesfor dry cleaning for the fear that they may get spoiled. We insure garments which are of a certain value."
