Gujral hails Indo-Russian ties

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Prime Minister, Mr I.K. Gujral, has hailed the warm relations between India and Russia, which have weathered many a political change sweeping both countries.

Mr Gujral observed this while delivering the Roerich Memorial Lecture organised here by the Gorkhy Bhavan, the erstwhile Soviet Cultural Centre here.

The lecture commemorated the contributions of late Swecthoslov Roerich, renowned painter, who spent some of his life time in Thiruvananthapuram, during when he created some of this best-known works, including on Sree Chitra Tirunal, erstwhile Maharajah of Travancore.
