Rheumatic Heart Club meet

KOTTAYAM: Rheumatic Heart Club, Kerala is organising its annual State conference at Hotel Nithya near Medical College Hospital, Kottayam on August 15.

To coincide with the event, there will be a Continuing Medical Education programme on rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease, said Dr S. Abdul Khader and Dr Jayaprkash.

The sessions, on various aspects in the diagnosis, management and prevention of rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease, will be attended by experts in each subject. The seventh State annual conference will be inaugurated by the Health Minister, Mr Kadavoor Sivadasan on August 14.

A send-off meeting is also being organised at the hospital conference hall on the same day in honour of Dr Iqbal, Dr P. Balachandran and Dr P. Chandramohan, who retired from service.
