Sankar Radhakrishnan

Thiruvananthapuram , Aug. 12

PROED Training Pvt Ltd, part of the Bangalore-based Maintec Technologies group, is launching a `college partnership programme' targeted at engineering colleges across the country.

Called `Mentor', the programme will initially offer IBM mainframe training to students in partner colleges. However, the course will be expanded to include other areas of information technology education and also training in areas such as soft skills, Mr Naveen V., Managing Director, Maintec Technologies Pvt Ltd, told Business Line.

In fact, the `Mentor' programme will be customised to cater to "whatever each participating college wants," he added.

The initiative, which is first being introduced in Thiruvananthapuram, will soon be rolled-out across Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Pune, he said. In time, the company plans to extend the programme to other cities and towns across the country, he added.
