Chidambaram visits Karnataka Bank

IN his endeavour to ensure agriculture credit flow to farmers in various States, the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, visited Srirangapatna branch of Karnataka Bank on Saturday during his tour of Karnataka.

A bank release said here on Monday that the Minister reviewed the performance of the branch in the areas of agriculture, education and self-help group formation.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr Ananthakrishna, the General Manager, Mr N.S. Chakkera, the Assistant General Manager, Mr K.G. Ramesh Rao, and the Senior Branch Manager, Mr U. Suresh Tantry, were present during Mr Chidmbaram's visit to the Srirangapatna branch, the release added.
