New Delhi , Aug. 17

THE US-based Opelin Laboratories has announced an alliance with Caddy Data Services to commercialise its technology in India and the SAARC region.

As part of the agreement, Caddy would market Opelin's solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and retail segments.

"We are also entering into tie-ups with various companies for remote server management for SMEs and retail. Eventually we may look at a remote storage centre in India of our own, but that is a longer term window and it will depend on how our client base grows," said Mr Rakesh Sharma, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Opelin Laboratories Pvt Ltd.

The company has announced the launch of its intelligent back-up and retrieval solution.

Opelin has a research and development (R & D) centre in India.
