Process machinery body to conduct series of workshops in Mumbai

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Aug. 17

AS part of its ongoing training and promotional activities, the Process Plant and Machinery Association of India (PPMAI) has scheduled a series of programmes in Mumbai.

A workshop on `Surface preparation and protective coatings' to be held on September 9 and 10 will bring together academicians, manufacturers, applicators and users.

Apart from plant and equipment manufacturers, the workshop will benefit consultants who prescribe coating systems and inspect them.

In November, a one-day workshop on `Cryogenic storage and handling systems' will examine issues relating to construction and use of storage tanks, safety aspects, pollution and emission.

PPMAI is likely to organise a buyer-seller meet concurrently with the IndiaChem 2004 exhibition organised by FICCI during November 1-15. This will be in addition to a major export initiative for the plant process and machinery manufacturers where prominent overseas EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contracts will be invited, the association said.
