Kolkata , Aug. 17

THE marketing committee of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), which met here on Tuesday, failed to select between the bidders for its cricket telecast rights for the next four years.

According to Mr Jagmohan Dalmiya, President of BCCI, the marketing committee members had gone through the details of all the bids submitted. The committee has sought certain clarifications from some of the bidders.

It may be noted that BCCI had sought bids for the live telecast of international matches from India for 27 days of cricket per year or an accumulated carryover of 108 days over four years.

According to reports, Zee Telefilms emerged as the largest bidder with a bid amount of $260 million. It was followed by the joint bid of ESPN and Star Sports, which offered $230 million.
