Kerala Delimitation draft not ready Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A draft report of the Delimitation Commission studying various options of restructuring Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies in the State on the basis of definite parameters is still under preparation, according to the State Election Commissioner, Mr N. Mohandas. An official spokesman quoted him as describing as baseless reports appearing in a section of media stating that the draft report had been published. The Delimitation Commission, with the former Supreme Court Judge, Mr Justice Kuldip Singh, as Chairman, has on it the Central Election Commissioner, Mr B.B. Tandon, and the State Election Commissioner as members. Suggestions from each member will be discussed in detail prior to the finalisation of the tentative draft. This document will be then discussed with the Commission's associate members, who represent the people. Only after this would the final draft be prepared, Mr Mohandas said.
